The Siberian Federal Scientific Centre of Agro-BioTechnologies of the Russian Academy of Sciences will cooperate with the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The agreement on exchange of scientific knowledge, joint research, development of joint scientific, methodological and practical recommendations was signed by Kirill Sergeevich Golokhvast, Director of the SFSCA RAS, and Lyazzat Tasbulatovna Yeralieva, Vice-President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The agreement between the two scientific organizations provides for scientific consultations, joint holding of international scientific conferences, establishment of expert working groups, exchange of information resources and internships of scientific staff, joint participation in grant projects. The main principle, the Agreement notes, is “exclusive management of the interests of science development and relevance of the subject matter to the economic and social progress of both parties”.
“Russia and the Republic of Kazakhstan are linked by long-standing friendly relations, and the traditions of joint scientific research were established in the very beginning of the XX century, - noted Kirill Sergeyevich Golokhvast, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Education, Director of the SFSCA RAS. - Our countries not only share a common border, but also quite large territories with similar climatic conditions. Both in Russia and Kazakhstan special attention is paid to the development of agro-industrial complex. I am confident that the exchange of accumulated experience, knowledge, new technologies will favorably affect the development of such an important industry as agriculture and will be useful for all residents of our countries”.
