The forum brought together scientists, science popularizers, educators, science journalists, and PR representatives from organizations to discuss how the role of science communication is changing today and what new challenges are facing specialists who explain science and technology in an accessible way. Oksana Leontieva, the press secretary of SFSCA RAS, took part in the event.
The main topic was the question of the role of scientific communication in technological development. Participants discussed how to bridge the gap between academic and corporate science, how communication can support the rollout of tech projects, and why successful scientific partnerships increasingly need not just joint research, but also joint communication approaches.
As part of the forum program, there were themed sessions dedicated to the role, goals, and effective formats of modern scientific communication, the use of artificial intelligence in the work of science communicators, the development of communication collaborations, as well as science-business partnerships.
A separate part of the program was the networking sessions, where forum participants met colleagues from different organizations, shared experiences, and discussed potential joint projects.
