The forum in hybrid format was attended by scientists, practitioners and experts from research and higher educational institutions, as well as scientific centers of Russia, Central Asian countries, Azerbaijan, Belarus, and Mongolia. The topics of speeches focused on the role of scientific research in agriculture and its development.
“SFSCA RAS and the agrarians of the Kyrgyz Republic have long-standing friendly relations. A lot of leaders of the industry, agricultural enterprises, studied in agricultural universities in Siberia, more than once we have met at scientific conferences. The Forum confirmed the necessity of integration of scientific developments, technologies and innovations in the agricultural sector to increase productivity and sustainability of agriculture, - commented Kirill Golokhvast. - There are many problems, the solution of which is possible only at the interstate level. This is the transportation of the seed material, both for crop production and livestock breeding, the same fertilizers. Since the price of fuel differs from country to country, one product may have a different cost.
For us, for Siberians, the experience of growing early maturing varieties of cotton and garden crops is very interesting. In turn, the Kyrgyz Republic may be interested in our rich experience in creating large livestock farms, work on breeding cattle and sheep. There are many points of interaction, and we see interest in the possibilities of cooperation. I would like to thank Aibek Akmambetovich Aidarbekov, Consul General of the Kyrgyz Republic in Novosibirsk, and his team for their assistance in organizing the Forum, who did their best to make the dialog between the agrarians of different countries successful and efficient”.
As a result of the forum, a number of agreements were signed between the research organizations and universities of the Kyrgyz Republic and Russia, and the areas for cooperation were identified.
For their great contribution to the development of agricultural science, Deputy Chairman of the Siberian Branch of the RAS, RAS Academician Nikolai Ivanovich Kashevarov, RAS Academician Alexander Semyonovich Donchenko, RAS Academician, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Mongolia Victor Valentinovich Alt, RAS Academician Vladimir Andreyevich Soloshenko were awarded the title of “Honorary Professor of the Kyrgyz National Agrarian University named after Konstantin Ivanovich Skryabin”.
