DESCRIPTION
Study of possible mechanisms of formation of protective immune response against some infectious agents in pigs and chickens with oral administration of antigen-producing strain based on microorganisms of the genus Bacillus
The priority areas of the project: bioindustry, bioresources and biotechnologies. New technologies in the development of the agro-industrial complex of the Novosibirsk Region. This project affects all elements of the priority area. The peculiarity of the Novosibirsk Region consists in the fact that extremely developed biotechnologies in terms of the development and production of probiotics, recombinant protein synthesis and microbial synthesis are combined with a very strong scientific base in the field of theoretical and clinical infectious diseases, but are distinguished by an almost complete lack of vaccine production.
A vacant production niche remains unoccupied in the conditions of ready chains of scientific and production cooperation and good logistical opportunities. Rapid development of vaccine engineering and production in the Novosibirsk region can be predicted. Our project involves the use of probiotic cultures of Bacillus microorganisms, for the industrial cultivation of which there are many biotechnological enterprises in our region. The development of oral vaccines against non-vaccine preventive pathogens of pigs and chickens (streptococcal infection of pigs, ornithobacteriosis of chickens) will allow preventive vaccines to be used instead of antibiotic therapy, which will reduce infection risks and provide more environmentally friendly products.
