The sphere of scientific interests of Academician V.A. Soloshenko includes the problems of increasing energy, protein and carbohydrate nutrition of ruminant diets. He has developed and successfully applied in the agro-industrial complex of Russia the technology of preparation of legumes and cereal crops on the basis of thermal flattening; the technology of preparation and use of rapeseed in green, silage, frozen form, as well as rapeseed cake and flour; the technology of preparation of milk fodder substitutes from full-fat soybean seeds, the method of reducing the rate of urea dissolution, which allows the use of urea in the composition of high-protein additives without poisoning animals.
V.A. Soloshenko developed the technology of chemical preservation of fodder with electroactivated solution ΝaCe, which is as effective as Finnish AIV-2, as well as the technology of obtaining carbohydrate additive from rye by fermentation.
The results of V.A. Soloshenko's research work are reflected in 205 publications, 5 monographs, 3 reference books, 18 recommendations, complex programs and concepts. His developments are protected by seven certificates of authorship and patents of the Russian Federation. The developed technologies are used to produce equipment used by agro-industrial enterprises in Russia and a number of foreign countries.
Under the guidance of V.A. Soloshenko 15 candidate and 8 doctoral dissertations have been prepared and defended.
